If you’re one of those people that just don’t like to eat vegetables, how can you get more in your diet? You may not know this, but I am one of those people who doesn’t like vegetables—and yet I consume a lot of them. So why don’t people like vegetables? 1. They are time-consuming to prepare. 2. They don’t taste that great. 3. They don’t give you a lot of pleasure. 4. They require a lot of chewing. Despite these things, you have to consume vegetables for their: • Raw enzymes • Vitamins • Minerals • Fiber • And other nutrients You have to consume vegetables if you want to fix liver damage, lose weight, and get healthy. At least half of which need to be raw vegetables. This may require a mindset change from eating only for pleasure to eating for your health or long-term pleasure. One of the best ways to eat vegetables if you don’t like them is to drink them. I like to create a healthy drink and pack in a ton of vegetables. Here’s how: 1. Take a blender and fill it halfway with water 2. Take 7-8 cups of frozen kale and blend it in the water 3. Take fruit (if you’re not trying to lose weight), flavored stevia, or instance kale shake (available on my online store) and blend it with the kale 4. 1. You are completely right sir. Until I started eating vegetables (which I was almost eating zero vegetable) my health was bad. But now it is getting better and better.

  2. I’ve been whirring my vegetables for about 20 years. I load up the blender with all kinds of raw fruits and veggies and I do it pretty much every day. We go through an incredible amount of fruits and vegetables and we almost always consume them this way. I’m 60 and weigh about the same as I did in high school.

    • @Receipts Receipts No, no problems at all. I have cut way back on the fruit this year though. We were consuming it in the smoothies and just eating fruit on the side and I think it’s too much sugar, over all.

    • Yes everybody I know that’s done what you done is healthy they’re happy and I know just starting to juice it does make you feel better more energetics I’m gonna keep doing more juicing fruits and vegetables thanks for the comment I love to learn from them you’re a great inspiration😁💕

  3. I thought I’m the only one who doesn’t like vegetables on this earth thank you Dr berg for this great video 🙏🏻😍God bless you

    • If I could thank Dr. Berg for just one thing, it would be showing me how to easily toss down 7-10 cups of green leafy vegetables per day. There’s no way I could chew that much salad a day. No way.
Those kale shakes are even starting to taste yummy, and they make me feel great, too.

    • For my family members that hate vegetables, I roast brussel sprouts, put them fresh or frozen in a ziploc bag, add some EVOO about 2 to 3 Tbsps, salt and pepper put on baking sheet roast in the oven at 400° for about 20 to 30 minutes or so and let me tell you they carmelize and get crispy, my whole family will eat them this way! Try it, brussel sprouts are so good for you. 😋😉😊

    • That’s 2 to 3 Tablespoons of Extra virgin olive oil in the ziploc bag, salt and pepper to taste to your liking.. some people I know also like to use garlic powder instead of salt and pepper

    • I drink my veggies daily with an organic supergreen powder! & I do love certain raw veggies, I eat at least 4xs weekly!

  4. One of your best inspirations. I now blend a lot of nutritional greens, my supplements, and oils as my fast=breaker, around noon or later. I then eat the protein part and other veg later. I actually love my vegetables in a drink. I sometimes save some for my second meal. Huge difference. You don’t need to sweeten it: let’s get over our sweet addiction for at least one part of the day.

  5. I actually love prepping vegetable. I normally prep them in one sitting, so that they would last 3-4 days. I will blast my favourite songs while doing it, have no care of the world. Then, keep them in couple of air tight tupperware, and put them in the fridge. I found this very therapeutic. 🙂

  6. Dr. Berg as always is keeping it real. It’s great he admits that he isn’t crazy about veggies, like the rest of us.

  7. You are 100% correct. I have Lupus and when I cheat or not eat vegetables I get really sick. I mainly stick to veges, fruit, non-gluten foods and water and I feel great. I was forced to change my diet to avoid being chronically ill.

    • I’ve got a medical problem too from celiac and my doctor said it can turn into lupus that was years ago I haven’t seen him but I am having brain attacks and I wonder if that’s what I got I don’t know but I’m starting to juice fruits and vegetables and I will be doing smoothies thanks for telling everyone that it helps it’s a help for me too

  8. Thank you Dr. Berg. A light bulb just went up in my head. Instead of carry around a huge bowl of salad for lunch I would rather blend it to consume it faster without adding dressing and just have apples and carrots instead.

  9. I was once so in a hurry that had no time to eat my salad, so I decided to put it all in the blender and drink it… it was all done in less than a minute!

  10. I make a green smoothie every morning with frozen leafy greens (usually kale), frozen avocado, whole milk kefir, flaxseed oil, almond milk, a little bit of some kind of protein powder, and stevia. I love it.

  11. I’m going to invest in a good blender and the frozen kale idea. I’m on keto, but the veggie part of my diet has been lacking. I’m very lazy regarding food prep and when i occasionally do buy veggies, i forget about them and they spoil.

    • I have the same problem, except I’ll see the produce and still avoid it! Fml lol. Work in progress for sure 😝

    • I don’t know why people find vegetables hard to prepare there’s nothing easier than eating some of them raw sauteed or roasted in the oven with your chicken beef or fish
Broccoli tomatoes mushrooms red onions green carrots peas kale lettuce and many more can be eaten raw
Potatoes and like texture can be roasted or sauteed.
When your young you don’t like a lot of things but when you grow up or get sick then you will eat them
My mom use to tell me when I was young eat your veggies or you will eat them as a medecins later.

    • @sou-ad Its annoying and tiring to to wash, clean and chop them, esp brocolli. Sometimes I find live worms or larvae inside the florets. 🤮

  12. love your videos dr. berg. i have type 2 diabetes and i have been following your videos and now im off metformin and im off insulin and my sugars are stable. i just started a 2 week water fasting and once im done i will start with these kale shakes then work up to food again.

    • Hurrah David, I am so proud of you. I have done a bit of the same by stopping my Glimepiride and am getting so excited to see if I can finally get rid of the Statins I am on..YUCK…That is probably why I became Diabetic to start with. I am weaning off heart meds now and feeling much better. I don’t think I am up to 2 weeks of water fasting though. I thought 2-3 days was pretty good…Wow, I would like to see a new report from you. Sorry if I have missed it within all these many, many comments.

  13. The fact that you admitted you don’t like vegetables, I don’t feel so bad. I find them so boring I’d rather not eat at all. However, like you…I still eat them, but it’s a chore. I’d live on pasta if I could. All Italian food is my favorite. Thanks for this video. It’s encouraged me.

    • Pasta is pretty much one of the worst things for your body so gl with that. And don’t say ‘not if it’s home made’ lol. None of are making your own at home anyway. Get off that trashy diet and see the incredible results.

    • Kale shakes are The Bomb, I Love them, and erythritol is so delicious I for one could easily maintain a Massive sweet addiction on a keto eating plan. (I need to curb the erythritol. I love it too much already.)
Dr. Berg has a solution for any dietary objection I’ve had so far.

    • I was a total sugar addict and told myself I’d stop the minute someone diagnosed me with diabetes. They did, so I did. I didn’t realize how bad my health was going to get, or how many carbs I’d have to cut. But it’s all good, I’m 70 pounds lighter and well on my way back to good health, and in an amazingly short time. Thank the Universe for YT diabetes docs and/or coaches like Dr. Berg; there’s a lot of good information here.

  14. Your advice is like gold.
Your dietary advice mirrors how I ate as kid before the corporations took over the food supply .
