Your heart, your fluid, your energy, and your nutrients in and out of the cell is dependent on the sodium and potassium pump. However, potassium is the most difficult to get from the diet. High levels of cortisol (stress), insulin, sugar, diuretics, excessive salt, and surgery, all can deplete potassium. However, you need between 7-10 cups of salad or veggies to get your daily requirement of 4700mg. 1. Thank you doctor. You have done what other medical experts kept a secret.
I have a more understanding of my body and the need for minerals including potassium.
    Great information.

  2. Your electrolytes drink has changed my life for the better!! I’ve been low in potassium for months, suffered terrible for 15 months, horrible heart palps, Because the Doctors are useless, nobody picked up on this. Kept chalking it off as anxiety. I’m so very thankful for you Dr Berg

  3. It’s beyond sad to me that this information isn’t mainstream, after years of battling poor health and just miserable suffering I had to learn the hard way that I was severely deficient in potassium. Thanks for making this important video and I dream one day that natural therapies become the mainstream of medical treatment

  4. In 2023, I ended up in ICU because of septic infection. After few days they try to move me in regular room, but my blood pressure drop to dangerous levels and it wasn’t stabilizing without support. Later they find out that the reason that was happening was because I was depleted of potassium in my system. I was having all symptoms you describe for many years, none of the doctors diagnosed my symptoms correctly. In fact, one doctor literally told me that all that symptoms aren’t really real, that my symptoms are result of depression. I was diagnosed with depression at the time, and depression was trigger by all physical symptoms I was having not the other way around.

    • Wow that Dr is a jerk for saying your symptoms aren’t real. Also it’s amazing that happened in the future, 2023… just kidding I’m sure you meant 2013, just though that was funny lol

  5. My local hospital nephrologist said, my dad’s CKD is not reversible. Dad would experience deteriorating kidney and eventually needs to go through hemodialysis. I remember she said avoid potassium. After about a year being a fan of this man (the man!), Jason Fung, Malcolm Kenderick, Ken Berry, Mason Paul, and Norman Norawi (Malaysia), and series of nephro appointments, everything changed.

The same nephro declared that my dad has no need to comeback to her clinic. His creatinine reading is getting better every time. Someone need to redefine noble prize let this man on the stage for it. Thanks Dr Eric!

  6. I have battled Afib for 13 years and not one doctor mentioned checking to see what my potassium level was. I started watching your videos and it made me question why no doctor G.P. or Cardiologist had mentioned this. I also struggled with high blood pressure as well as constipation. I was told that I needed to drink a lot more water so I started drinking close to 100 ounces a day. It didn’t help. I found a new doctor when I moved to Texas and I asked for a full blood test. Guess what the blood test revealed? Low potassium. I went on a high dosage potassium prescription and much to my surprise my Afib disappeared along with the high blood pressure and constipation. Turns out all of the water was flushing the potassium out of my system. Had it not been for your videos I would still have the issues that I had. I’m now eating as many high potassium foods as I can find along with taking a potassium supplement. Thank you Dr. Berg for changing my life for the better. Cheers!

  7. Looking back on my younger days when I drank a LOT of beer, I was definitely Potassium, Magnesium and B vit deficient. I had symptoms that I now know were because of this. No Doctor EVER told me about deficiencies, just gave me useless pills, and creams that did very little. I feel fitter now than I did 30 years ago because I supplement and eat healthier. …………………. and watch DR Berg videos.

  8. Spent 6 weeks in the hospital when I was in my thirties. The biggest reason for the extended stay was that my potassium would not level out and the Dr.s won’t release you until it is normal. Took these giant potassium pills each day. Finally, had my partner bring in some tomatoes, spinach and a banana to me each day. After six weeks, within three days my levels were normal and I said bye bye to the hospital!

  9. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. And, as a retired teacher, I commend you ⭐️ for your teaching skills! I enjoy watching and listening to them; as well as benefit from them. THANK YOU ☺️

  10. I’m really starting to understand the mechanics behind nutrients, but can you please explain the difference between potassium and magnesium? They do similar things, but are inherently different. Thank you! Love your channel. Exactly what I needed.

  11. Most doctors only prescribe medicines. Thank you very much for explaining all the little details behind the body.

  12. Dr. Berg The people’s Doctor… you are woven into the tapestry of my and many others landscape. You helped me learn keto 3 years ago, address my hypothyroid
Autoimmune issues and recently I had vertigo ( too much sodium without magnesium potassium and electrolytes) and I figured by increasing my potassium (your supplement) that my balance returned 90% with 24 hours!!!! Maybe 🤔 potassium could help others with vertigo?! The ears are aliened to the kidney in Chinese medicine. Maybe then inner ear balance is essential for those prone to Vertigo??? Your thoughts or video would be great… you are a Nobel laureate in my books!!! Many many thanks and gratitude!!!!!

  13. Thank you for helping me when mainstream docs gave up. They gave up and told me I was dying. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with a type of Muscular Dystrophy that was causing my body to stop digesting food. A Naturopathic doctor got me back on the road to health, however, I could only afford a few visits. Dr Berg, you have earned your wings. Thank you so much for your kindness, energy, and factual, healthy info!

  14. Dr. Berg’s videos should be played in our nation’s schools. I love his presentations — his style and the way he explains diet, nutrition, etc.

  15. You should be given a nobel prize for your understanding of modern illnesses as symptoms of deficiencies.
    you’re awesome Dr. Berg!!
